The name isn’t the only spacey thing about the Flying Saucer café. The overall vibe is straight out of Haight Ashbury, from the worn couches to the clothes hanging in the outdoor seating area to the tie-dyed, friendly-but-preoccupied servers. I’ve had a cinnamon raisin bagel w/ cream cheese from this perfect little spot the last three afternoons in a row. Mind you, I have not digested a bagel in at least ten years. At least since I lived with my mom and she bought them in bulk for my high school mornings. Then I became aware of my yeast intolerance and I would. not. eat. them.
