Rotating bodies, confusion of sound
Negative imagery, holding us down
Social delusion, clearly constructed
Human condition, morals corrupted
Trapped in reaction, lawlessness war
Dissatisfaction from bowels to core
Devil’s technology, strategy for
Human mythologies, urban folklore
Sick of psychology, counterfeit cure
Wicked theology, robbing the poor
Scheme demonology mislead the pure
Strictly strategically studying war
Light shown in darkness, image exposed
Few can see through the new emperor’s clothes
Lustful this hustle turn humans to hoes
When the blind lead the blind
Just more trouble and woes
It’s the mind that they chose
Its designed to stay closed
Standard of jokers, court just a logic
Sick looking cosmics, from schoolyards to college
Primitive man with civilize knowledge
System collapse and he still won’t acknowledge
God is the saviour, studies behavior
Trying to fix the mix mind that he gave ya
Stiff-necked scholars on prescription meds
Wishing their problems were all in their heads
Morale dilemma, pride is the root
Misguided from youth, heart divided from truth
Egyptians and Grecians, spiritually dead
Imperially led, by the gods in their heads
Motives and thoughts
Industrial wealth
Global economy, in it for self
Heart full of madness, covered with kind
Pleasure designed to take over your mind
Furnished in godliness, painted in good
This tainted priesthood got real saints misunderstood
While classes in government, set up the veil
And cultivate minds for more mythical tales
Typical Hollywood follies good girl
While vice and corruption take over the world
Motives and thoughts
Check your motives and thoughts
Blind with the wickedness, deep in your heart
Modern day wickedness is all you’ve been taught
Lied to your neighbors, so you get ahead
Modern day trickery is all you’ve been fed
Motives and thoughts
Check your motives and thoughts

Buy Sade’s new album. A decade long Sade drought is over, and the record couldn’t possibly be better. There is nothing more important to do today then to become a proud owner of this perfect piece of audio ear sex, immediately. That is all. Thank you.

“I only make records when I feel I have something to say. I’m not interested in releasing music just for the sake of selling something. Sade is not a brand,” Thank god Miss Adu still has things that need to be said, and after all this time she’s venting via song.

This seems to be the last sneak peek of her thoughts on the last century, before the official album release. On Barnes & Noble.com, you can hear ‘Be That Easy’. Over on Starbucks.com you can listen to ‘Long Hard Road’, you can find ‘Bring Me Home’ on SheKnows.com, and ‘Babyfather’ on People.com.

Also you can watch the making of her welcome back single here (Observe the hoop earrings Pete!) The making of the video, and the official video are below. Again – excuse my excess-sadeness recently but we’ve had a long drought of sade sexi, and i’m so so ready. Bring on the last two singles and the tour newwssss!

“you’ll always know the reason why
we couldn’t have the moon and the sky
you’ll always know the reason why this love
reason why this love
ain’t gonna let you go.”

Moon And The Sky:

In Another Time:

Soldier of Love Remixes: Tip your hat to the producers here. This is how you make brand new, even harder (how is that possible?) tracks from the most rugged single since ‘00.

10 years in the making, and it’s Sade – I don’t know how anyone could be surprised that each leaked track is better than the last. Countdown: 9 days till the 9th…

There’s some chatter that Lil Wayne and/or Drake are ghost writing for Nicki Minaj.. Which is typical to assume that a female couldn’t do it all on her own.. They might be contributing now – but it’s pretty definite that homegirl did her first mixtape solo. & regardless of who wrote what – ALL of her mixtapes are worth a download. cop them here. Homegirl is about to completely blow up. I don’t think there’s been a female in the game like her since Eve or Foxy. (I love Kim, but you know she went glam over gutter.)

If you think hip hop is dead, and are tired of the shit on the radio – then make it your job today to download all of Nicki’s mixtapes, followed by all of Drake’s (especially room for improvement), then get Lil Wayne’s No Ceilings. (some singles from these mixtapes are on the radio – which shows how good they are – but you’re missing the gems clear channel can’t play) So go get your download on, I’m telling you so.

* Keep in mind that Drake & Nicki don’t even have albums out, just mixtapes and they are already becomming household names. This means the mixes are THAT good – the mixes got them offered record deals. In case you needed more encouragement to go hit download..

Diddy is not supposed to sound this good. God bless Auto-Tune, his new chick sidekicks, and his nasty producer Rob Holladay. “hip hop, electro, soul, funk” they call it. Well, it’s something – whatever it is, and i’ll take it. The beats are so good I don’t care that it’s diddy or what he’s saying. Then sometimes, Auto-tune just works.. It made me able to say I love a Kanye West album. Now we can say that Puffy sounds like Seal? It’s blasphemy, but (in the chorus) true.

(The radio version featuring biggie is obviously better. I just get a kick out of this video because I was in the same hotel while they filmed the Miami scenes.)

I wish I was stronger than this pitch correcting plugin that is over saturating our pop-hop audio culture, but i’m not always. I can’t get enough of it, when it’s done well.

I don’t understand why Puff is on Jay’s jock though? It took a couple listens but – this song is sampling one of my favorite Jay-Z songs “Where I’m From”. (Which was a biggie song before that.) The first single off this album featured another Jay sample from “Izzo (H.O.V.A.)” I’m sure that’s got to be it on the upcoming album sampling Jay – just to release two songs that lend credit to Jay-Z, as your first two album singles, in a row, kinda tuff. Maybe I’m the only one who noticed.. Since both the tracks are guilty pleasure bangers or top 40 to people.. Probably no one cares. I just feel like I should announce the silly shit I notice in a public medium when I can..

LA and NY.. Always something happening with music, usually in the tiniest corners of the cities. I was lucky enough to catch this inspiring acoustic-jam-with-a-cause the same night I touched down in la la land. Over in Koreatown our man Tom Morello played a nightwatchman set, jammed along with his band street sweeper social club, and then wayne kramer played along for good measure.

Gorilla Radio acoustic ..Interesting & still powerful

SSSC’s acoustic cover of Paper Planes

Boots did a beautiful acapella version of this track “underdog” that night – I can’t find it online from that exact night, but I think everyone should still hear it, if you haven’t. It highlights Boot’s seemingly effortless flow.

Please find out more about Cort guitar workers action here, which the show benefited.
