The title of this post marks my first time swearing on this blog, but it’s not my words, it’s our presidents. This was too funny not to repost. I’m counting the minutes until someone (possibly me) samples these audio clips into a new hip-hop song. Hear it all right [here..]. ..Now I am so sorry I bought the physical book and not the audio version. I got hosed.

The Associated Press, a worldwide news agency, says the photo seen here in the Obama poster was used without permission and, because of this, it wants monetary compensation and credit.[more...]
This is the strongest part that I took from BO’s Inaugural address yesterday:
This is the meaning of our liberty and our creed — why men and women and children of every race and every faith can join in celebration across this magnificent Mall, and why a man whose father less than sixty years ago might not have been served at a local restaurant can now stand before you to take a most sacred oath.
The historical significance of electing this man to office is monumental and undeniable no matter what political party you align yourself with. More important then history books, is how you can almost feel other countries looking at us less judgmentally with BO in charge. Perceiving us as more open-minded and an (obviously) less racist nation. While you can feel the walls of communication amongst foreign lands opening up as we now have a leader who is actually capable of opening physical doors and eloquently forming complete sentences. 1-20-2009 at last. 2009 we are free of Bush(s) at last!
“starting today, we must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and begin the work of remaking America”.
(You gotta get, that, dirt off your shoulder, You gotta get, that, dirt off your shoulder.) You know you thought it.

Also: Photos you probably haven’t seen yet….[BONUS]

While Obama was running for office he had mentioned to reporters that he was a fan of the Hov. His only request for Jay was that he would make a song “that his daughters could listen to”. Jay soon went to bat, and here are the results. (Being co-named Obama’s victory song.) It was leaked during an interview with Angie Martinez on her Hot 97 show, and unfortunately, as of late, you can't get it without DJ drops.. But it's still worth a listen for things to come.

..And if you think you heard a lot of Obama name dropping pre his presidential victory, mannnnn it’s just the beginning!
Update: Since I posted this the other day I keep thinking of the chorus and what song it reminded me of, I finally figured it out. Old School Chicago, Voice sounds the same huh?
If there were ever a time to be inspired and to get things off on the right foot, It has got to be tonight. As a country we united, and made history. As I am making my own. (On a much smaller scale of course.) Behold, Post #1 -- on my own domain, and host -- Blogging services you own me no more. Oh, and Yes, Yes America -- We Did! As my best friend said tonight: “I feel as though I can exhale for the first time in eight years.” Never have I agreed with her more.
